I’ve been writing over at Idea Supply Chain for the past few months, and it’s been great for exploring all sorts of random ideas that I’ve been having.
But I’ve noticed that I’m still getting subscribers here. There is something nice about the community on Substack that doesn’t exist on a Ghost site out on the interwebs, so I wanted to do something to take advantage of that.
I’ve always struggled to find a balance between Order and Chaos, which I think is part human nature in general, but also related to my combination of ADHD/Autism.
The ADHD side of my brain wants to revolt against structure of any kind and change everything all the time. But my Autistic side of my brain wants everything to function as part of a well-oiled system, with everything doing exactly the thing it is supposed to at all times.
So, I’ve decided to give in to both, using publications of the same name, but focusing on this version for the newsletter: A structured look at ideas I’m exploring, in multiple parts. This will help me keep a structured routine in place and make sure that I’m making progress on my book.
As part of the latest Foster cohort, I’m trying to make an effort to start polishing my ideas a bit and making them presentable to the world, as opposed to previous cohorts, where I’ve just pulled on things and tried to tap into the deepest places within myself. That was all about digging deeper and sharing with the world. But now, I feel like I’ve overcome those challenges, so the next piece is to get better.
With all that said, the focus this month is Building Abundant Economic Systems. So later this week, you can expect an intro to what I mean by Abundant Economic Systems, followed up by 4 weeks digging into them in higher detail.
Excited to have you on this journey with me!
